The hotel, Las Mercedes is a Best Western with a good menu and a couple of swimming pools as well as free internet. We ate supper which was delicious and sat poolside to visit and looked around a little. We're headed off to bed now since we are all VERY tired. I'll put in some pictures of the trip. The surrounding area is quite poor. This is like a little oasis. This is a picture of the appetizer, fried plantains and fried cheese (goat, I think)with refried beans in the middle. There were some pickled chopped onions on the side too. The food was good. NN
