NICARAGUA

The Nicaragua team has joined the California team and will post under the blog www.globalpassionministries1.blogspot.com

Puerto Cabezas, Nicaragua is on the Atlantic coast of Nicaragua, a 14 hour drive on mostly dirt roads or 1 1/2 hr flight from the capitol city of Managua.  The team originated with Columbus Medical Mission Team, partnering with Forward Edge International. CMMT traveled to PC, Nicaragua two years with FEI.  FEI team originated from California and broke off from FEI in 2012, becoming Global Passion Ministries.  The group from Nebraska, who continues to travel to Puerto Cabezas, Nicaragua then left CMMT and joined Global Passion Ministries.

The team stays in a compound with an orphanage, school and church overseen by the Verbo Church. The team continues to evolve and can be followed at their blog above.

Apparently the Nicaragua blogs won't appear under "Nicaragua Missions". Please read our blogs on the "Home" page. They will probably be interspersed with the Africa team blogs. Our mission trip is from Feb. 7th -17th.

We were commissioned last night at Peace Lutheran Church. Thank you Pastor Cory for the comforting words to send us on this important mission to serve Him. Thank you to everyone who has contributed financially and prayerfully for this trip. We hope to keep you posted about it as much as time and connectivity allows...Tamra

Good Morning!! We are here! Sorry, we tried to write a note last night but the internet is not reliable. We got to get a bite to eat and relax a bit before turning in. It was about 85 or so here even at 10:30 at night! We are meeting for breakfast today at 6:30 and then off to Puerto Cabezas...as long as it is good flying weather. Thankful for a safe trip thus far :)

Glad you all made it to Puerto Cabeza safe and sound. FPC Lincoln is praying for you all, especially that your mission touches hearts and transform lives in Jesus Christ. Tell Catherine that Emma won the Spelling Bee today.
