AFRICA

February 2013 will be our first African mission.  We are headed to Navaisha, Kenya to work in the District Women's Hospital built from donations spearheaded by Cindy Berkland, APRN who traveled to Kenya with Valmont Industries around 10 years ago.  She found a rapidly growing population working on the rose farms there.  Valmont was supplying the irrigation for the rose farms.  Between the  rose farm owners, Valmont Industries, a mission group from Illinois the "Friends of Naivasha" was founded and the dream of a new hospital became a reality.  The hospital is opening early 2013.  It's scheduled to be open by the time we get there, but if not (Africa time being different than American time) we will work in the old hospital, which will stay open on the same campus with the new hospital.

Our team has 6 physicians, 9 nurses, 1 paramedic and 2 support staff. as follows.
