RED CROSS

The Red Cross has just accepted another volunteer.  John has finished his training and it looks like he will be heading to the Virgin Islands in a week or two possibly for 3 weeks.  The details aren't all worked out yet.  He had volunteered and done training in the past, but didn't quite have the time to dedicate that they needed.  Now his job has changed to a consultant and gives him much more freedom to do things like this.

The Red Cross requires training in various areas.  John has trained in feeding and housing large numbers of displaced people and perhaps transportation and communication.  Fortunately he has lots of experience in difficult situations so should be able to adjust to whatever he finds.

This is a photo of the Virgin Islands BEFORE the hurricanes.  We'll try to get some pictures as it is now, but like I said details still need to be hammered out.

Also, we are starting to plan our next mission.  This time it will be to Zambia (yes, Africa).  We are getting the team together to get the ball rolling next week.

I'll keep you posted.  NN
